send it.

The clinic team confirms your slot — a form request is not itself a confirmed appointment until someone has come back to you. If the time you asked for is not available, they will offer the nearest ones.

Bring any X-rays, scans or treatment plans you already have, plus a list of your medications. Then it is an ordinary first visit: examination, explanation, options and a written estimate, with the decision left to you.

What to do
today.

Call rather than message. Describe what you are feeling and where — whether it responds to hot or cold, whether it wakes you at night, whether there is swelling.

Dental pain that keeps you awake, comes with swelling, or spreads to the jaw or face should be looked at promptly rather than waited out. Swelling that comes with fever or difficulty swallowing needs urgent attention.

An implantologist who
would rather save
the tooth.

Dr. Avneesh Kumar is an experienced implantologist and certified endodontist with over fifteen years of clinical practice, specialising in dental implants, painless root canal treatment and wisdom tooth extractions. He has received advanced clinical training and has been associated with reputed institutions, bringing modern, evidence-based dental practice to his patients.

The two halves of that specialisation matter more than they look. Being the person who both saves teeth and replaces them removes the incentive that distorts a lot of dental advice: he has no reason to recommend an implant over endodontics, or the reverse. The examination decides.

Comfort is a clinical
decision, not a courtesy.

Anaesthetic given properly and given time to work. An explanation before each step rather than after it. Breaks whenever a patient asks. None of that is bedside manner for its own sake — a patient who is tense is a harder patient to treat well, and one who is frightened is a patient who does not come back.

An orthodontist who
teaches orthodontics.

Dr. Mudita Gupta is an experienced orthodontist and certified Invisalign provider, treating both adolescents and adults. Alongside her clinical work she is an Associate Professor at Inderprastha Dental College & Hospital — which is relevant to patients for a specific reason: explaining a mechanism clearly is a different skill from performing it, and she does it daily.

It shows in consultations. Patients come out of an assessment with her able to describe, in their own words, what is going to move and why. That is the point at which someone can genuinely consent to two years of treatment.

Stable results,
not fast ones.

Her focus is on customised treatment planning, comfort through the course of treatment, and stable long-term results. Orthodontics is one of the few areas of dentistry where the fastest route and the best route routinely differ, and where the patient cannot easily tell which one they are on.

So the plan is set out in advance: what moves, in what order, roughly how long, and what retention will be needed afterwards. Retention is discussed before treatment starts rather than presented as an afterthought at the end.

Already been told
you need treatment?

Understand your options before you commit to anything. Bring the X-rays, scans or plan you already have and you'll get a straight assessment of what has been recommended and why — including when the existing plan is the right one.

Why the plan
goes home with you.

A patient hearing about a treatment for the first time is not in a good position to consent to it ten minutes later. They are still processing the diagnosis, they have not compared options, and they are sitting in a chair which is not a neutral place to make a financial decision.

So the estimate is written, the options are described including the one where nothing is done yet, and the appointment ends. If you come back and proceed, you do it having actually chosen.

If you have been
putting this off.

It is more common than the waiting room suggests, and it is not something to apologise for. People who have avoided dentists for years usually expect a lecture. There isn't one — there is an examination, an explanation and a plan, at whatever pace you need.

Many patients start with a consultation only, with no treatment at all, purely to get comfortable with the room and the person. That is a completely legitimate first appointment and it is worth booking on exactly those terms.

Four situations where
a second look pays for itself.

Second opinions matter most where a plan is expensive, irreversible, or both — and where the patient has been given a conclusion without the reasoning that produced it.

We are not going to
attack your dentist.

Dentistry has genuine areas of legitimate disagreement. Two competent clinicians can look at the same tooth and reach different conclusions about whether to save it, and both can be defensible. A second opinion that opens by rubbishing the first is telling you more about the second clinic than about your teeth.

So what you will get is the reasoning: what the imaging shows, why one option might be preferred, what the trade-offs are, and where the honest uncertainty lies. If the original recommendation is sound, you will be told that plainly.

It is a bite question
before it is a looks question.

Crowding creates surfaces a toothbrush cannot reach, which is why crooked teeth develop decay and gum problems in predictable places. Gaps let neighbouring teeth tip. An uneven bite loads some teeth far harder than others, and over years that shows up as wear, sensitivity or jaw discomfort.

Appearance is a legitimate reason to want treatment, and most people who come are thinking about it. It is simply not the only thing being corrected.

When should a child
be assessed?

An orthodontic assessment during the mixed-dentition years — while baby and adult teeth are both present — can identify problems that are easier to guide than to correct later, such as crowding, crossbites or habits affecting jaw growth. Assessment does not mean treatment. Often the recommendation is to monitor and review.

Where treatment is appropriate, timing matters: some things are best addressed while the jaw is still growing, others are better left until all the adult teeth are through. That judgement is exactly what the assessment is for.

Nothing happens
without a warning.

Children cope with almost anything they have been told about in advance and very little they have not. So each step is described before it happens, in ordinary words, and the appointment stops when your child asks it to. That single rule does more for long-term cooperation than any reward chart.

Parents stay in the room. Treatment is only carried out where it is genuinely needed, and where something can reasonably be monitored instead, that option is offered along with what it means.

Watching how the
jaw develops.

Between roughly six and twelve, baby and adult teeth share the mouth and a lot is decided. Crowding, crossbites and habits that affect jaw growth are easiest to influence during this window, and identifying them early usually widens the options rather than narrowing them.

Identifying is not the same as treating. Most children who are assessed at this stage are simply reviewed periodically. Where orthodontic treatment is worth considering, Dr. Mudita Gupta, MDS, will explain the timing and why it matters.

Cosmetic work sits
on top of health.

A restoration bonded to a decayed tooth, or a whitened smile above inflamed gums, is a short-term result on an unstable foundation. So the first appointment is an examination rather than a colour discussion: teeth, gums, existing dental work and the bite.

Once that picture is clear, the conversation becomes specific — what exactly bothers you, what can reasonably change it, and what each option would involve. Often the honest answer is that less needs doing than the patient expected.

What we will not
show you.

There are no before-and-after galleries on this site. A&M Dental Station does not currently publish patient case photographs, and using someone else's results — or images that imply your outcome will match another patient's — is not something we are willing to do on a medical website.

What you will get instead is specific: an assessment of your own teeth, a clear description of what is realistically achievable in your case, and the chance to see the plan before it is executed.

A gap rarely stays
just a gap.

When a tooth is lost, the teeth either side gradually drift toward the space and the opposing tooth drops down into it. The bite changes, food traps in the new angles, and the bone that used to support the root slowly reduces because nothing is loading it any more.

None of that happens overnight, which is why it is easy to postpone. It is also why an assessment is worth having early — the situation you are treating in six months is usually simpler than the one in six years.

Implants aren't
right for everyone.

Good candidates generally have enough bone where the tooth was, healthy gums, and a medical history without factors that interfere with healing. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and some medications affect how bone heals around a fixture, and they are discussed openly at the assessment rather than discovered later.

Where bone has reduced, there are usually options to address that first. Where an implant genuinely is not the right choice, you will be told so — and given the alternatives instead.

Pain is late
information.

The nerve and blood supply inside a tooth sit in narrow canals running down each root. When decay, a crack or an old deep filling lets bacteria reach that space, the tissue inside becomes inflamed and then infected. That is when it starts to hurt — often to hot, often at night, sometimes to pressure.

By the time it is painful, the problem has usually been developing for a while. A root canal removes the infected tissue, cleans and shapes those canals, and seals them so bacteria cannot re-colonise the space. The tooth stays; the infection goes.

What the next
few days feel like.

Mild tenderness when biting for a few days is normal — the ligament around the root has been irritated and settles. Ordinary pain relief usually covers it. What is not normal is increasing pain, swelling, or a temporary filling coming loose, and any of those is a reason to call the clinic rather than wait for the next appointment.

Until the tooth is permanently restored, chew on the other side. A treated tooth without its final restoration is more prone to fracture, and a fractured root is the one situation that can undo an otherwise successful treatment.

Plaque hardens.
That is the whole problem.

Plaque forms on teeth continuously and is soft enough to brush away. Left in place for long enough it mineralises into tartar, which is not — and tartar gives plaque a rough surface to accumulate on, close to the gum, where it drives the inflammation that becomes gum disease.

That process is slow, painless and almost invisible until it is advanced, which is exactly why it is worth interrupting on a schedule rather than when something starts to hurt.

Bleeding gums are
information, not habit.

Gums that bleed when you brush are inflamed. At the earliest stage this is entirely reversible with a professional clean and better technique. Left alone, inflammation can progress to affect the bone supporting the teeth, and that part does not come back.

It is the single most common finding that patients have quietly normalised for years. If yours bleed, mention it — it is a straightforward thing to treat while it is still straightforward.

When removal is
genuinely necessary.

A tooth is removed when what remains cannot be predictably restored or kept healthy: a root fractured below the gum, decay extending under the bone, advanced gum disease that has taken the supporting structure, or a tooth so broken down that nothing is left to build on.

It is also considered for wisdom teeth that repeatedly become infected, damage the tooth in front, or trap food where no brush reaches. Position on the imaging is what decides that, not the fact that they are wisdom teeth.

The first few days,
honestly.

Expect some swelling and soreness, usually peaking around the second day and then easing. Ordinary pain relief covers it for most people. Eat soft food, chew on the other side, and keep the area clean gently rather than vigorously.

For the first twenty-four hours: no rinsing, no smoking, no straws, nothing hot. All of those disturb the clot that is doing the healing. Increasing pain after day three, rather than decreasing, is worth a phone call.
